UKVI

UK Visas and Immigration, the Home Office body whose English requirements many visa routes must satisfy through a Secure English Language Test (SELT). PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Home are SELT versions of Pearson's tests, taken only at UKVI-approved centres with extra identity checks; the score report carries a Unique Reference Number (URN) that you quote in your visa application. Requirements vary by route — from 8 January 2026 the Skilled Worker route requires CEFR B2 — while PTE Home covers A1, A2 and B1 speaking-and-listening levels for family and settlement routes.
