Score Report Code
The score report code is the identifier printed on a PTE score report that lets an institution verify the result against Pearson’s records. Scores are shared electronically from myPTE and checked online, so the code, not a PDF or screenshot, is what proves a result. For UK visa applications the equivalent identifier is the URN from a UKVI test.

How verification works
When you send scores from myPTE, the institution receives the report through Pearson’s system and can confirm its authenticity there. If you upload a copy of the report to an application portal, the institution uses the score report code to check it against Pearson’s records. Either way, the report you can download is a convenience, and the code behind it is the proof.
This is why emailed screenshots are not accepted. They carry no verifiable identifier, and institutions have been asked to verify every PTE result.
The identifiers on a report
A PTE score report carries several numbers: a Test Taker ID, a Registration ID for the specific booking, and the score report code. Applications usually ask for the score report code, or simply for an official send. UK visa applications from a UKVI test ask for the URN, which is generated only for Secure English Language Test bookings; a standard PTE Academic report has no URN, which is one way to check you booked the right version.
Keep a copy of the report and note the code before the two-year validity ends, because reports remain verifiable only while the score is valid.
