Each row names its source and check date; treat the date as part of the fact.
Every figure here also lives on its own page with the full explanation; this page exists so one number can be checked, quoted or compared without reading five articles. Pearson changes fees by country without much notice, and visa authorities revise thresholds, so a figure is only as good as the date beside it.
Fees come from Pearson’s own pricing service, the list its test centres and fees page loads, checked on 21 October 2026. Pearson charges the same for PTE Academic, Academic UKVI and PTE Core in every country listed, so one column covers all three. If you find a row that has moved, the contact page reaches the people who maintain it.

University minimums change by course and year, so the accepted universities page lists only sourced rows instead. Subclass-specific Australian requirements that sit behind pages our tools cannot read are linked, not quoted. When a number is absent it is because we would rather send you to the source than estimate it.
Fees are shown as Pearson lists them, without a tax breakdown, because Pearson adds any local tax at checkout. PTE Home has its own, lower price in each country, for example £160 in the UK and ₹15,300 in India; the PTE fees page has the full PTE Home column alongside the other three tests.

The study figures may be quoted with attribution to EdKnot and the study window, 7 July to 21 August 2026. The full method and a ready citation line are on the data study, which also explains how internal accounts were excluded and why no individual answer was read.
Pearson, IRCC, Home Affairs, UKVI and Immigration New Zealand figures belong to those bodies; this page only collects them. Cite a fee as “Pearson price list, 21 October 2026”, and a visa threshold to the authority’s own page, so a reader can check it there if the rule changes after we last looked.

Department of Home Affairs per-skill minimums; there is no overall requirement except for Functional English (overall 24). Tests taken up to 6 August 2025 used 79, 65, 50 and 36 in each skill (Superior to Vocational), usable until 6 August 2028 depending on the visa. Old Functional results used an overall 30 and counted only until 6 August 2026.

As listed by Pearson on 21 October 2026, PTE Academic costs ₹18,900 in India, A$499 in Australia, C$360 in Canada, £230 in the United Kingdom and US$275 in the United States. PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core cost the same, and any tax appears at checkout in myPTE.
Under Pearson’s July 2025 concordance for the enhanced PTE Academic, IELTS 7.0 matches PTE 63–70, IELTS 7.5 matches PTE 71–78 and IELTS 8.0 matches PTE 79–85. The comparison covers overall scores only.
For PTE Academic tests taken from 7 August 2025, Australia’s Superior English level requires Listening 69, Reading 70, Speaking 88 and Writing 85, and is worth 20 skilled-migration points. Proficient English (58, 59, 76, 69) is worth 10 points.
The scoring figures come from thousands of automatically scored answers submitted on EdKnot between 7 July and 21 August 2026. They are aggregates: no individual answer was read, and staff and test accounts were removed. The study is refreshed as the dataset grows and each figure carries its check date.
