Every figure here also lives on its own page with the full explanation; this page exists so that one number can be checked, quoted or compared without reading five articles. Each row names its source and the date it was last checked. Pearson changes fees and format by country and without much notice, and the visa authorities revise thresholds, so treat the check date as part of the fact. If you find a row that has moved, the contact page reaches the people who maintain it.
Nothing we could not verify on an official page. PTE Core fees vary by country and Pearson shows them only at checkout, so we print none. University minimums change by course and year; the accepted universities page lists only sourced rows. Subclass-specific Australian requirements that sit behind pages our tools cannot read are linked, not quoted. When a number is absent it is because we would rather send you to the source than guess.
The study figures may be quoted with attribution to EdKnot and the study date; the full method and citation line are on the data study. Pearson, IRCC, Home Affairs and UKVI figures should be cited to those bodies; this page only collects them.
Fees are set by Pearson per country and change; the amount in myPTE at checkout is the one that counts. IELTS figures are from IDP and British Council centre pages for comparison.

PTE Academic costs ₹18,900 in India, A$490 in Australia, C$360 in Canada, £230 in the United Kingdom and US$265 in the United States as of July 2026. Pearson sets fees per country and shows the exact amount in myPTE at checkout.
Under Pearson’s July 2025 concordance for the enhanced PTE Academic, IELTS 7.0 aligns with PTE 63–70, IELTS 7.5 with 71–78 and IELTS 8.0 with 79–85. The comparison covers overall scores only.
For PTE Academic tests taken from 7 August 2025, Australia’s Superior English level requires Listening 69, Reading 70, Speaking 88 and Writing 85, and is worth 20 skilled-migration points. Proficient English (58, 59, 76, 69) is worth 10 points.
The scoring figures come from thousands of automatically scored answers submitted on EdKnot between 7 July and 21 August 2026. They are aggregates: no individual answer was read, and staff and test accounts were removed. The study is refreshed as the dataset grows and each figure carries its check date.
