Frequently asked questions
How is Repeat Sentence scored?
Content counts the words you repeat in the right order, and Oral fluency and Pronunciation are each scored 0 to 5. The task credits both Speaking and Listening, which is why it carries so many marks.
What if I only remember part of the sentence?
Say the part you have, in order, without hesitation. Partial content still scores; a long pause or a restart costs fluency on top of the missing words.
Should I read the sentence before listening?
Not when you practise for real. Use the printed sentence to check your recall after the attempt, then move to the player where it is audio only.
